Our Services

Music imprints itself on the brain deeper than any other human experience. Music evokes emotion, and emotion can bring with it memory.”

Oliver Sacks, Neurologist

What We Do

Music has a unique capacity to impact our emotions and behaviour. It can stimulate memory, regulate mood, and be a medium for self-expression and communication.

Musicgrace specialises in using Neurologic Music Therapy to support rehabilitation for people with neurological disorders across Brisbane.

We also have extensive experience working with children, teenagers, adults and older adults. We are committed to making music therapy available to people of all ages and backgrounds. If you would like to inquire about how we can help with a specific need, please ask.

Individual Music Therapy Sessions

Musicgrace provides one-to-one music therapy sessions for individuals throughout Brisbane area. Individual sessions ensure that you get concentrated attention from your therapist and the opportunity to work towards specific, personalised outcomes.

• Our therapist will come to you in your home or premises.

• Individual sessions last between 30-60 minutes, depending on the needs of the individual.

Group Music Therapy Sessions

Group music therapy is beneficial for social interaction and collaborative learning. Regular music therapy sessions can enrich the life of residential communities, such as aged care facilities, or connect people to each other within local communities.

• Group sessions can be conducted at your premises or at external locations such as community centres, disability centres, rehabilitation centres, or aged care facilities across Brisbane.

• Group music therapy sessions run for one hour.

For both individual and group sessions, it is recommended that sessions take place regularly in order to work towards goals and see positive outcomes. This can be negotiated depending on the needs and budget of the individual or organisation.

Our therapist (Grace) is happy to discuss whether music therapy would be beneficial for you or the person in your care. Please contact us to organise an assessment or to inquire further about music therapy sessions
